THE WEEKEND HAS FINALLY ARRIVED!
Raise your hand if you don’t enjoy a well- deserved relaxing time on Saturdays and Sundays, abandoning the weekday frenzy!
I must confess that despite being a southern girl, I am a terrible chef and very lazy when it comes to cooking ( even more on Sundays! ). Since I’ve moved to Rome I discovered the faboulous and trendy concept of a brunch!
THE ORIGIN OF BRUNCH
The brunch is a meal in the late morning that combines breakfast and lunch. It was born in the 19th century in England when large buffets were organized after a hunt in the villas.
Plenty of bars, restaurants, hotels, have their Sunday Brunch more or less imitating the American ones, enriching them with local and traditional ingredients. It means also booze before noon!

THE BRUNCH LOFT AT LANIFICIO159
Lanificio 159 is a very popular multipurpose venue (ex woolen mill), with a garden for DJ set, live bands and modern art exhibitions. Feria Loft is its unique space with cocktail bar and kitchen. The atmosphere is super chill and cool!
Every Sunday from 11:30 to 15:30. It offers dishes made in USA, pancakes, bagel , Benedict eggs just to start!

PORTOFLUVIALE BRUNCH
The lounge of the trendy PortoFluviale hosts the brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 12:30 to 16:00. There is a vast and colorful buffet, which satisfies everyone’s taste and a children corner!

THE FARMER BRUNCH
Proloco Trastevere is a very cozy restaurant in the famous Trastevere quarter.
Every Sunday from 12:00 to 15:30. This is the most local choice , without a doubt, because its brunch ( a brand new concept) includes all products of small Regional artisans. Thus dairy Lazio‘s rarities, cuts and chees are protaghonist!

THE BIO BRUNCH
Ketumbar is a unique and popular restaurant in the vibrant quarter of Testaccio. It cuisine is focused on top quality products at km0.
Every Saturday and Sunday from 12:30 to 16:00. The Bio Brunch offers a rich buffet from appetizers, main and second courses, salads. Everything is 100% organic, breads and desserts are homemade! There is also a glutenfree menu.
