Around Christmas everyone behaves, around Christmas time everyone is good!
Since we have been little our parents used to warn us to better behave because Santa Claus knew everything, knew if we slept, if we ate, if we have been good or bad and all this could scare us and compromise our fantastic gift!
THE BEST PRESENT IS FOR YOURSELF!
These days, like every year, holding the gift list I get a walk around shops, markets, shopping malls but I end up up being a very selfish girl who is alternatively shopping for herself!!!
My family and my boyfriend will forgive me!
Obviously in Rome you can be spoilt for choice, there is an enormous number of markets, pop-up stores and events in any district!
Here below a list of my favourite markets in Rome!
CHRISTMAS MARKET IN PIAZZA NAVONA
Undoubtedly the historic Christmas market in Piazza Navona is the most famous and even this year, it returns to animate the famous square until 6 January 2020.
Around the magnificent Fountain of the Four Rivers by Bernini it will be possible to relive an ancient tradition, waiting for the arrival of the Befana. You can find sweets, gift ideas, handicrafts, decorations for the tree and for the crib. Beside for children there are play areas, street artists and the ancient carousel!
” IL NATALE ECOSOLIDALE” THE GOOD GIFT
From December 1st to January 5th Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from 16:00- 19:30
Ecosolidale City is a truly original charity market in three large industrial lofts located in Piramide area of Rome. The address is via del Porto Fluviale No. 2.
You can get lost along the space divided from furniture to clothes, from toys to costume, to jewellery and books.
Above all this market is a paradise for vintage lovers like me!

URBAN BAZAR AT MAXXI
14th Saturday and 15th Sunday of December from 11:00 to 20:00 at MAXXI (The National Museum of Art from the 21st century)
This bazar in addition to his urban features is giving space to the festive theme. There are more than 25 exhibitors with handmade creations of fashion, design and Christmas gastronomic products.

THE CHRISTMAS CITY PRATIBUS-DISTRICT
14th – 15th December at PratiBus District. The address is viale Angelico 52.
The location PratiBus District is a 5000 sqm space, the result of an important redevelopment project of a portion of the former Vittoria ATAC depot.
It is not just a simple market but a real Christmas party in Rome, two days of conscious and sustainable shopping, of made in Italy zero waste♻♻.
